The hottest scenes on the set of Jane Millionaire aren't the ones in front of the camera--they're the ones between the takes.

With twelve gorgeous bachelors at her beck and call, Jill Davidson (a.k.a. Jane) should be in reality show heaven. But these days the only thing this tough girl cop's not faking is how her insides sizzle when she sees Rob Lancaster. But lusting after the sexy producer can only lead to trouble--like getting caught as a fraud.

Rob Lancaster loathes reality television. Promised the chance to fulfill all his career goals if he can make Jane Millionaire a success, his blazing attraction to his star is a complication he doesn't need. Rob fights the ever-increasing heat, but how's a man to resist when the only reality that matters is how his heart stops when he looks at Jill?

To combat the sexual tension fogging up the cameras, Rob and Jill surrender to thier flaming desire. Surely one hot romp in the sack will fix their incessant itch. But reality bites. Big time. Because a taste isn't nearly enough to satisfy their hunger.

Will they sacrifice Rob's career and Jill's contract to have the reality they both want? Or will they heed Hollywood's saying...the show must go on?

"Janice Lynn is an author you don't want to miss. Smart, sassy, and witty. A rising star and new reader favorite!" --Leanne Banks, USA Today Bestselling Author

JANE MILLIONAIRE eBook Janice Lynn

Jane Millionaire is an interesting book. The story is about a woman named Jill. Jill takes her sister Jessie's place on a reality TV show being shot in Europe. The roll she is to play is that of a princess named Isabella Jane. Jill is supposed to fall for one of 12 eligible bachelors who are competing for her. Instead, she falls for the sexy producer. I did like the story, and would gladly give it more stars, except for the numerous formatting errors and typos. The editing process apparently was skipped. The author constantly uses the wrong words. And, she used the nonword "alright." There is no such word. It is "all right." I'd gladly edit any and all books, if asked.

JANE MILLIONAIRE eBook Janice Lynn Reviews

I absolutely loved this story! If I could give it a higher rating, I would. There are a few editing errors, but they aren't numerous or significant, and they don't detract the reader.
Jill, the main character, is smart, strong, athlethic, and funny. I love finding a great heroine who isn't a wilting flower. Somehow the author managed to make her powerful and still feminine and beautiful. The hero is flawed enough to seem real, and incredible enough to make you understand why Jill would fall so hard. I thought the author did a good job at taking something that could have easily become cheesy or boring and making it fresh. I had a hard time putting the book down. I'm excited to check out other titles by this author. If this is a good indication of what's to come, I see myself buying and reading anything she writes.
Police officer and unlucky-in-love Jill has spent the better part of her adult life taking care of her sister, Jessie. So it is no surprise when aspiring actress Jessie asks her to impersonate Jessie on a reality dating show that she cannot appear in due to her recent engagement. All she has to do is keep her identity a secret, pick one of twelve bachelors, and keep from falling off her skyscraper stilettos.

Nothing prepares Jill for her role as "Jane Millionaire," particularly when she meets Rob Lancaster, the hunky producer/host of the program, and she has visions of him dancing in her bed instead of one of the "dirty dozen" pre-chosen for her. Rob just wants to finish the show and get his latest script onto TV; he has no time for a woman that wants to use him to get ahead in Hollywood. Or does she? As the two try to keep their attraction to each other in check, it's getting harder to keep their desire a secret - especially with all the cameras present. And Rob's producing partner has a couple secrets up his sleeve to insure phenomenal ratings. But at who's expense?

Janice Lynn's debut novel is a funny satire on the whole reality show phenomenon. But it does lack a little cohesion, and detail, particularly when it comes to the bachelors (we only learn the names of two; she only spends time with one). The romance is incredible and gets high marks for its sizzling sensuality, but if you are looking for a great satire on the new millennium of dating game (but that lacks the sizzle), check out "Bachelorette #1" by Jennifer O'Connell. But overall, a pleasurable way to pass a Sunday afternoon!
This novel was better than most modern romance novels, but it left me wanting more. What an interesting setup- Jill, a California cop, fills in for her flighty sister in a reality dating show where she plays a fake princess and has men compete for her love. But she ends up falling for the sexy producer Rob, who is attracted to Jill but has a bad past with women using him for his success in the entertainment business.

I really wanted more details about the dating show. I like books like "LA Candy" that expose reality shows and get behind the scenes, but there was so much will-they-won't-they wishy-washiness between Jill and Rob that the show was back burner business. I was disappointed that there weren't more hijinx with the many men. Rob wasn't an impressive love interest. He was rude to Jill and he acted like a jilted baby. But the sex was hot and I loved the intimacy he and Jill ended up sharing. Jill was a cool girl, and she wasn't afraid to do what needed to be done.

The ending was far-fetched, but it did keep my attention, and I like how the characters all came together. Not an award-winning book, but it was okay.
Jane Millionaire was a very enjoyable book to read as long as you don't take it seriously. The producer of the reality show, Rob, cast would-be actress, Jessie to star in a reality show where she spends a month in a castle with 12 gorgeous bachelors in order to choose one to marry while pretending to be a rich princess. Jessie, a beautiful, sexy, good-hearted but somewhat flighty woman, pulls out of deal at the last minute, and pressures her sister, Jill, to take her place. Jill, who never paid attention to her looks, is a real jock and works as a police officer, and reluctantly agreed to take Jessie's place but didn't count on the instant attraction between herself and Rob (who is drop-dead gorgeous with a fantastic body). The two spend the month trying hard to avoid each other with often comical results. Of course the story has a happy ending and I liked how it was done even though it was a bit predictable.

The book was well written but the editing would have benefitted from a good proofreader. It wasn't terrible but I did find it a bit annoying to read "reference" when "reverence" was meant and "conscious" when it should have been "conscience," just to mention two examples. The personalities of all the characters, both major and minor ones, were very well-rounded and realistic and the dialogue was authentic, lighthearted, and fun to read. The descriptions and imagery were both very well done. This book really touched my emotions and I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the mood for a very good romantic comedy.
